Director: Ghanashayam Lamichhane
Cast: Bishnu Gautam, Gita Adhikari, Gajit Bista, Anu Shah, Prakash Ghimire, Shambhu Thapa, Bidhya Karki

‘Dhauli’ is a story of a dalit woman named Dhauli who is away from her husband. The movie is about the twist of fate that follows after Dhauli falls in love with the Brahmin man she works for and makes physical relation with him. Nepali movie Dhauli features Gita Adhikari in lead role as Dhauli and Bisnu Gautam as Kanchho. Movie also features Gagit Bista and Anu Shah.

Dalit women of Nepal are subject to harsh conditions in one of the world’s poorest countries. They suffer additionally as members of the rural poor; and the low status of women combined with the social exclusion of Dalits magnify the effect of their poverty. For each girl and woman, this means a life of discrimination, suffering and often violence – with little or no access to justice, education, or livelihoods.

I was really excited about the trailer of the movie, and some of the early conversation between ‘Dhauli’ and ‘Kanchho’ were quite witty too. But the movie could not deliver what was expected. The first half of the movie was good, with some witty conversations, and presentation looked fantastic. But with the entry of Gajit Bista in second half, movie gets monotonous and boring. Screenplay looked broken and dialogues were not influential after second half. They couldn’t bring enough life to the characters. The movie could have been much more heartwarming.

Story:

Dhauli is a dalit woman, who works in Badha baa’s house. She has a son named Bir or Bire. Her husband has not returned home from foreign country. Kancho, brother of Badha baa is a Brahmin. Kancho falls in love with Dhauli. He seduces her to have physical relation with him and promises to take care of her. But when Badha Baa’s wife knows about this, she takes steps to get rid of her. Dhauli who was pregnant leaves Badha Baa’s house alone. When Bire cannot find her mother in the morning, he left too.

After 20 years, Bire becomes an established business man. Anu, who is daughter of Badha baa, unknowingly falls in love with Bir.

Nai Nabhannu la 3 Movie Review /nai-nabhannu-la-3-movie-review/ Fri, 10 Apr 2015 19:32:18 +0000 /?p=906

Cast: Anuvab Regmi, Priyanka Karki, Aryan Sigdel, Suraj Singh Thakuri, Sanchita Luitel, Garima Panta (Special Appearance)
Direction: Muskan Dhakal

Nai Nabhannu La 3 is a musical journey of a young boy, Rhythm and his bond with her mother. After the massive success of Nai Nabhannu La 2, this was one of the most awaited movie of the year. Directed by Muskan Dhakal, it features Anuvab Regmi, Priyanka Karki, Aryan Sigdel and Suraj Singh Thakuri in the lead role. The movie also features Sanchita Luitel and Garima Panta in special appearance.

If you ask me the importance of a mother for a child, it would be the easiest question for any fool to answer. I think the importance is priceless because a mother’s role is not just giving birth to a child, but also to raise them until they finally become a man / woman who can stand in their own feet and do something for himself and/or his family. Most important of all are the sacrifices that she makes to make her child happy. However, some do not have the luck of enjoying the warmth of their mother, but still few among them are lucky enough to get the mother’s love instead. Nai Nabhannu La 3 attempts to portray the affection between a mother and her adopted son. Besides the adopted son, the story also revolves round the guy she loves and a crazy guy that loves her madly.

“Bihe bhayeko chha chhora mai ho, bihe bhayeko chhaina gharma bau chhaina!”

First of all, I love to watch Nepali movies with good cinematography. Camera work and photography are the first impression for any movie that engages you and it was wonderful. Nai Nabhannu La 3 is has an average script, yet it has effectively offered the bond between mother and her son. The first half of the movie was excellent with a good balance between wit and story development. Second half of the movie was very emotional. but at a few occasions, it looked a bit over elaborated and some of the songs could have been removed. For instance, the romance of Samyam Puri and her girlfriend was spoiling the core story. Okay, I got that his presence was important for the script to carry on, but that song ‘Alikatti bold…’ for Samyam Puri was uninviting. Another thing about the movie that I can disagree about is how easily Anuvab learned playing guitar. It looked impossible. The Guitar is probably the most difficult instrument to learn. Had it been some other instruments like Madal or Tabala, I would have agreed. Finally the climax was too predictable. Bringing all the characters to the same place in the climax is the classic way of ending most of Desi movies. That said the work of the director and the crew was creditable.

As far as the performances are concerned, it’s a child actor, Anuvab Regmi who leads the film right from the word go. For a child actor, he has everything it takes to be a superstar in the future. Priyanka was fantastic and Aryan Sigdel was exceptional. His body language and facial expressions were charismatic and helped a lot to get the first half of the movie engaging. All the other actors were good too.

Plot:
Kusum (Priyanka Karki) is living with her adopted son, Rhythm (Anubhav Regmi). Prakash (Aryan Sigdel) is the best friend of Kusum and he loves her very much. Prakash has a beautiful daughter and his wife was died few years back. Sameer was a famous singer who is just back from jail. As Kusum sees Sameer, she falls in love with him. So she finds different ways to get closer to Sameer. She even forces Rhythm to learn guitar with Sameer. But as they get closer, she finds out many things about Sameer. So will Prakash be able to get the girl he loved? You will learn this only on the dramatic climax of the movie.

Watch or Not?
The movie is worth watching, purely because of the beautiful songs, witty acts of Aryan Sigdel and some amazing performances from a few actors.

Logne Manchhe Film Review /logne-manchhe-film-review/ Fri, 06 Feb 2015 23:09:43 +0000 /?p=722

Cast: Dilip Rayamajhi, Nandita KC
Story/Direction: Laya Sangraula

Logne Manchhe presents the nature of how easily any ‘logne manchhe’ or men make big promises with their lovers and breaks them. The picture tries to show that male is the most pitiless thing in the world. They are the one who only think about their pleasure and cannot sacrifice anything for the people who loves them. First, they hurt their parents, and later their wife. Well, at least that’s how the makers of this movie think. But you can also argue that there are cases of the opposite being true. After ‘Bidhawa’ one month ago, this is yet another movie of charismatic actor, Dilip Rayamajhi. This cinema also features Nandita KC and is directed by Laya Sangraula.

“जति बेला हामी आफ्नो इच्छा अकान्छा लिएर आमा बुवाको मा जान्छौ, आमा भन्छ तलाई मैले नौ महिना कोखमा राखेर पालेको, र बाबु भन्छ मैले तलाई लगानी गरेको छु, र हाम्रो इच्छा अकान्छा सबै तहस नहस पारिदिन्छ |”
– रबि, लोग्ने मान्छे

Yes, that’s how a growing man naturally feels when his parent forbids him anything. Sometimes a man can be heartless being, who can only think about what they want and not what people who love them expect from them. When they see a beautiful girl, they easily leave their parents and forget that they took care of him from his childhood and how easily they forget that their parents were behind him in every stage of his life. Once they are with the love of their lives, they believe of being most satisfied person and makes big promises for her. But the period of promise lasts only until he meets another beautiful girl. And then, he easily forgets the promises made to her last love and makes a new promise to her next love and starts another affair. ‘Logne Manchhe’ is also a story of a man who leaves his family for a girl, and he betrays his wife for another girl. Sometimes in a race to find happiness, we forget about the diamonds we own, when we were busy collecting stones.

It’s a very good matter to choose for a film and also to make some unkind men realize what they have lost but script and screenplay was not the best. There were few humorous moments in the movie, but most of the times, it was very flat and dull. There was nothing so special about the movie and I was not quite happy with the ending. Logne Manchhe couldn’t deliver the entertainment that people expect from Dilip Rayamajhi. As for Dilip, he still has the gracefulness when he dances, but he seems to overact on few occasions. There were few problems in editing specially in the fight scenes when villains were kicked to fly in the air. Also background score was too noisy and disturbing on some instances.

Plot:
The story is about a Rabi (Dilip Rayamajhi), son of a popular Pundit. He falls in love with a girl on campus, Shreya. Shreya is a modern girl who has just returned from Hong Kong and was not interested in any men. With her seductive looks, it’s easy to attract any men. There was another guy who loved Shreya, but he tried to get her forcefully. When Shreya was about to be raped, Rabi appears and saves her. Now the love affair between Shreya and Rabi starts. When Rabi tells his parents to marry with his love, his father disagrees and scolds him. So Rabi leaves his family and also decides not to marry Shreya. Rabi now focuses on getting a new job, but instead, he finds out that being a broker one can easily earn a lot of money. Soon he becomes a rich man and owns his own company. He also marries a beautiful girl (Nandita KC), who was his personal secretary in his office. They were having a happy married life and a beautiful daughter to add happiness, but not for long until Rabi sees Shreya again. Rabi couldn’t control his emotions and find a way to meet her. As she finds out that Rabi is sleeping with Shreya, his wife leaves him.

Watch or Not?
I cannot recommend anyone to watch this movie.

Aavash movie review /aavash-movie-review/ /aavash-movie-review/#comments Fri, 09 Jan 2015 15:34:38 +0000 /?p=567

Cast: Nisha Adhikari, Samyam Puri, Salon Basnet, Aashma DC, Prakriti Shrestha(Special Appearance) and Sunil Rawal
Editor and Director: Surendra Poudel

Nepali movie: ‘Aavash’ is a dramatic journey of a serious and confused teenage guy, Aayan (Samyam Puri) to find the love of his life. He even compares relationship to local bus (sajha yatayat) as he was not being able to control who was coming in or going out when and where from his life. And there’s another cheerful guy, playboy, virus or Milan (Salon Basnet) who says girls are like taxi and he loves to take different taxis of the latest model.

They say adolescent is the most complicated and confusing stage of our life. It’s the stage when we can’t figure out what’s correct and whom to listen. This movie has a similar story of a teenage guy, who is having difficulty finding his true love, or should I say he was being betrayed by girls few times and thinks himself as the unluckiest person. “You may like many people around you but it’s much difficult to get one who truly and only loves you”, says Milan.

The movie had slow first half, but finishing was perfect. Performance from every role was alright but Samyam Puri fighting was not looking good. Although it was mentioned earlier him being a boxer, he looks too wimpy and tender to fight all the bad guys alone. Is it customary to kill all the villains by a single hero? Rekha Thapa is a better fighter than Samyam Puri. He is a good actor though. Cinematography is better and editing was crisp. There were lots of interesting dialogues in the movie that made me smile. One that was told in the very beginning by Milan was best of all.

 “Life मा आशुलाई OUTBOX, खुशीलाई, INBOX, रिसलाई DELETE, Smile लाई SEND, प्रेमलाई SAVE अनि मनलाई VIBRATE गर्नु… अनि हेर्नु जीन्दगीले कति राम्रो RINGTONE बजाउछ |”

Other dialogues that I loved are,

Plot:

‘Aavash’ is a dramatic journey of Aayan (Samyam Puri) to find the love of his life. Aayan is simple and straight. He has two friend, Milan (Salon Basnet) and  Safu (Aashma DC). Milan is a playboy and Safu is a beautiful girl who loved Aayan since her childhood. The movie starts as Aayan being betrayed by her first girlfriend (Prakriti Shrestha). As he was recovering from his first breakup, he finds another beautiful lady, Akanksha (Nisha Adhikari) who is older than him. As they get close, Aayan falls in love with her. But later finds out that Akansha is going to marry different person (Sunil Rawal). Now Aayan turns back to his old friend, Safu. As Aayan and Safu was going to marry, Akansha returns back to Aayan’s life. So what happens next?

‘Love You Baba’ movie review /love-you-baba-movie-review/ Fri, 19 Dec 2014 19:24:35 +0000 /?p=488

Cast: Sangam Bista, Gajit Bista, Nishma Ghimire, Ashishma Nakarmi, Basanta Bhatta, Nirmal Sharma, Anmol Agrawal, Arjun Gurung
Director: Saugat Bista

How much do you love your father? I think it’s the most difficult question. Every father is the first ‘Hero’ figure of any child. Every father is special for their children. His role will be even more special if a child has no mother. ‘Love you Baba’ is an emotional movie about the relationship between a father, Sushant (Gajit Bista) and her daughter, Chanchal (Sangam Bista).

8 year old boy has directed an excellent movie and it’s a great achievement for him. Truly, I was not expecting the movie of such level from a child who cannot even talk properly. Well, he may have helps from seniors. It’s a very positive start for Saugat Bista, but that’s definitely not the end yet. How far can he go? Will he get more offers from other movies? Those are the questions striking on my mind.

The makers of the movie have managed to create a balance between humor and emotions. The movie has a very strong opening with a clash between daughter and her father. It drops at few occasions, but the finish was perfect. It was heartwarming story of the attachment and affection between father and daughter. The background music was very good and well placed. Gamvir Bista has done good job for dialogues of the movie. It was a gripping movie and had very few flat moments. Few actions in the end was little difficult to believe.

I loved Chanchal’s attitude and her performance was excellent from start. For instance, her attitude to start a fight with Gaida was very hilarious. And, oh my god, she is a graceful dancer. I was amused by her expressions and dance in the end. Gajit Bista as a humble man was equally good. There were few occasions when he looked to overact, like when he was shouting at his neighbors. But those were just minors and overall he looked good. I loved Nishma Ghimire flirting Gamvir. Her Maithili dialogues were too cute.

“अरो तोरीके, बेथल्छी बोरापर, नजर छे तोरा पर”
– Nishma Ghimire

Plot:
The movie starts as the daughter waking her father up in the morning and ordering him to make breakfast. Chanchal is the name of daughter and her father is Sushant. Chanchal’s mother dies after giving her birth and Sushant have a very hard time growing her up. But he never gives up and does whatever it takes to make her daughter happy. He would buy anything she wants and takes her anywhere she wants. But movie takes a twist when another girl comes to the life of Sushant.

Watch or not?
It’s a very beautiful movie. Go for it.

‘Rang Baijani’ movie review /rang-baijani-review/ Sat, 06 Dec 2014 13:43:38 +0000 /?p=459

Cast: Garima Pant, Sumina Ghimire, Dikpal Karki
Directed By: Shambhu Pradhan

Legendary director, Shambhu Pradhan is back after 12 years with another complete family drama. Rang Baijani is a movie about two women. Rama is a wife and Devina, lover of same person. Or should I say it is an emotional story of a man, who loves a girl but is forced to marry different girl, his father’s choice.

Some say, being a woman is a terribly difficult task, since it consists principally in dealing with men. But I would agree that woman has the power to control a man and can take him wherever she wants. Rang Baijani has two different personalities of women; one who is polite, caring, and well-mannered typical Nepali village girl who is always behind his husband in any situation. Another is modern, seductive, open minded woman who follows her heart and would say anything to get his man.

Shambhu Pradhan has shown his class with this very well directed movie, but I think the script failed him. Not the worst script, but it lacks creativity and not the class we expect from the movie of such a legendary director. The music and songs were very remarkable. Most of the songs seem to be suitable for the film’s situations and helps in moving the story forward. The movie is very well choreographed and background music did go very well with the circumstances of movie did help in the flow of emotions.

In a lead role, Dikpal Karki was losing grips at few occasions. He made the emotions break at times, being unable to deliver his dialogues properly. For his first public appearance as an actor, it’s understandable but he should remember that he has a lot of room for improvement. Garima Panta was very calm, professional and didn’t lose grip from her character. It was a better performance from her. I think Sumnima Ghimire was in the very best. She looked elegant, stylish and honest. On other occasions, she was impolite and rude with I think no flaws. Sumnima looked really graceful when dancing as well.

Plot:
After the death of father, Rama (Garima Panta) stays at house of her father’s best friend who had a son, Binay(Dikpal Karki). Binay’s father thinks Rama is suitable for his son and asks Binay to marry her. But Binay reveals that he has a girlfriend, Devina (Sumnima Ghimire) who lives with her ‘fufu’. This triggers heart attack to his father. To make her father happy, he marries Rama. When Devina knows about Binay being married, she leaves the city. After three year, Binay finds Devina at hospital. Knowing that Devina has TB, and there is nobody to take care of her, Binay takes Devina to his house. And the drama begins.

‘Mistake’ review /mistake-review/ Sun, 30 Nov 2014 18:54:45 +0000 /?p=428

Cast: Harshika Shrestha, Sushant Karki, Nirmal Century, Prasant KC, Surbir Pandit, Rama Thapaliya
Director: Rishi Raj Acharya

Nobody is perfect so therefore, along the line everyone is going to make a bad decision or do something they really didn’t think they should have. Everyone make mistakes but end up learning from them. Well, not every mistake gives you chance to learn from it. Some mistake takes all you have and make you helpless. This movie, ‘Mistake’ is based on a triangular love story, where two guys, Shisir(Nirmal Century) and Rocky(Sushant Karki) happen to fall for a one girl, Prakriti(Harshika Shrestha). It is about a mistake of not being able to propose a girl in time.

Directed by Rishi Raj Acharya, the movie, ‘Mistake’ fails to deliver any emotions neither does it has any sensible humors. Sadly, it’s just a flat and a tremendously dull film. It was a painfully tedious task of tolerating the not-so happening story of two men falling for one girl. Rishi Raj Acharya is a well known director of Television but his debut on big screen was very poor. There is nothing good to express about the movie. Everything looked too sloppy. With so many fresh artists in lead role, there were lots of messes. Their body languages were all going wrong and poor facial expressions. The movie was a disappointment.

First thing that I would like to talk about is the action. Why would someone like to put such a crap fight scenes in a movie. Kicking 10 bad guys by a single person is already on its limit. Why would they want to roll them 3 circle rounds in the air? Are they making fun of audiences? I am really surprised to know that some people thinks that they can make their audience enjoy with such fight scenes. Secondly, they have tried to take some part of movie to a foreign country. I am not sure where they wanted to take us, but it was all not looking real. If they were low on budget, they should have considered changing the script. Instead of foreign country, I think different places of same country could have been a better option. And lastly, Rishi has made this movie more like a TV serial than a big screen movie. Focusing each character with lots of camera effects on every serious moment is not acceptable all the time. And the background music was very uncomfortable. People wishes fresh things and I believe big screen needs lot more creativity.

Plot:
Shisir love Prakriti more than anything in the world. He would take the risk of his life and fight with anyone to help Prakriti. Prakriti and Shisir were friends from their childhood. But Shisir couldnot express his love. Prakriti is a beautiful girl from a middle class family, drowning in loans because of her father’s medical condition. The Prakriti then gets a scholarship to study in a foreign country, but that only saddens her and her family because she now needs 7 lakhs rupees to get admission. Shisir helps her to get her her admission. After Prakriti gets to a foreign country, she meets another cool guy, Rocky. Rocky falls in love with her and proposes immediately. With this, the drama begins.

Watch or Not?
The movie is very poor and waste of time and money.

Jerryy Movie Review /jerryy-movie-review/ Fri, 14 Nov 2014 15:57:16 +0000 /?p=356

Cast: Anmol KC, Anna Sharma, Amalia Sharma, Abhishek Man Sherchan, Yash SJB Rana.
Director: Hem Raj BC

After ‘Hostel’, the heart-throb of teenagers, Anmol KC is back after 1 year with another classy movie and this time as a charming playboy with same director of his previous movie, Hemraj BC. In a lead role, he seems to have gained more confidence and looks like more can be expected from his new projects in coming days. Clearly, he has followed the footstep of his father and already showed the signs of becoming a superstar as most of theaters are housefull in first day which is rare in Nepali movies.

Jerryy is the story about a cool, handsome and rich guy, Jaiveer Rana or Jerry (Anmol KC), who believes “love is like a Chinese mobile with no guarantee” and his trip to mustang where he truly falls in love with a beautiful girl, Aakansha (Anna Sharma) and everything after is romance and heartbreaks.

Positive things are that it has very beautiful music and most of the songs seem to be apt for the film’s situations and helps in moving the story forward. The film’s background music is also good. The film’s editing is crisp, and so was screenplay. They have made this film look extravagant and visually stunning, with beautiful scenery of Pokhara and Mustang. It felt really good to witness the beauty of my own country so closely. More than that, it was quite a lot of bright, pleasurable and interesting jokes that makes you want to laugh out loud. With superhit movie ‘Hostel’ behind him, director Hemraj BC seems to know audience’s taste.

Besides the positives, there are few things that were not working well. I couldn’t get along with the acting of Jerryy’s mom. Her expressions and dialogues we not done so well. Also, the actress seemed less confident while delivering dialogues. And most of all, scripts were predictable at times, could have been better.

Plot:

Jerryy is the story about a guy Jaiveer Rana (Anmol KC), who is known as Jerryy. Jerryy is your typical rich kid. He is Casanova, attends clubs and likes to live his life at the fullest. When it comes to Love he has his own definition about love, he believes love is like a Chinese mobile with no guarantee but his is entire believe gets changed when he meets amazingly adorable Aakansha (Anna Sharma) on a trip to mustang. How these two characters affect, change, befriend and eventually fall in love with each other in this journey, the film aspires to take us on.

 Watch or Not?

Another must watch Nepali movie after “Talakjung Vs Tulke“.

‘Sorry La’ Movie Review /sorry-la-movie-review/ Mon, 10 Nov 2014 15:57:03 +0000 /?p=350

Cast: Suwash Thapa, Rajan Khatiwada, Anita Acharya, Anju KC, Martin Khan, Roshan Maharjan(Child Actor)
Music: Sailersh Shrestha
Story: Anju KC
Director: Rishi Lamichhane

Directed by Rishi Lamichhane, ‘Sorry la’ is a movie about two best friends, Anek(Subash Thapa) and Sakaar(Rajan Khatiwoda), but with opposite personalities. Anek is free, open minded and charming personality who wants to play with girls and enjoy, while Sakaar is very shy, introvert, lonely personality with a scar on his face, which makes him more depressed. While most of the people depend on their eye to choose most of the things, Sakaar (Lead character) thinks that beauty should be felt. “Beauty is always beyond the limit of eyes. It is not observed but should be felt. To feel beauty, we only need heart which rarely anyone does”. A lot of people will try to be smart by saying “you should not judge a book based on its cover”, but in reality it is found that our subconscious mind will contradict us and force us to judge people based on their looks during initial encounters.

“Sorry La” is another fantastic Nepali movie, with good script, fine screenplay and good dialogues. The first half is full of fun and humor while the second half is all about overwhelming distress. I loved the B-boying done by the kids however good visual effects could have been added to make the dance even more remarkable. There we very few ugly coincidences in the movies but had an amazing sensation after watching this movie. After all, it’s difficult to get movies of this level in Nepal.

After ‘Birkhe Lai Chinchhas’, this is another movie of Subash Thapa and I think he has showed signs of improvements on this movie. He has performed very well with charm and enthusiasm to portray the character of a playboy. There were few awkward moments, but overall I must admit that he has done very well. Another character, Rajan Khatiwada has done exceptionally well from his side and I think he is a role to take this movie to different level. Another, I was really impressed with the acting of child actor Roshan Maharjan.

“You can easily get a girl in this world if you just have any one of these three A’s. ‘Aanuhar(face)’, ATM and Attitude”
– Anek

Plot:

The movie starts in a Teej Festival Fashion show featuring Anek as model. Anek is joyful, handsome and a womanizer. He has a very close friend, Sakaar who is introvert, shy and depressed because of his ugly face mark. He feels bad inside because of not being able to get a girlfriend. So he tries “Facebook”, uses Anek’s photo and finds a beautiful girlfriend, Prashamsa. Prashamsa wants to meet Sakaar in real and comes to Kathmandu. But she finds Anek and goes with him which turns a long friendship into hatred. It’s very interesting what happens next, so, I wouldn’t like to disclose after this.

Watch or Not?

Good story, fine screenplay, wonderful performances by most artists and good humor, how much more reasons do you need to watch this movie?

‘Euta Sathi’ movie review /euta-sathi-movie-review/ Fri, 07 Nov 2014 17:26:26 +0000 /?p=343

Cast: Salon Basnet, Rista Basnet, John Tamang, Shishir Poudel
Director: Laxman Subedi

Euta Sathi is a movie about love, friendship, breakup and a dance competition for the reputation of campus. Everyone has a past that makes you weak and that they want to forget. Most of us are able to hide it, but some of us couldn’t hide it. We live in present and past are history. We should put aside the dark side of our past and try to make the present bright. Even a person with a darkest history deserves a better present. You cannot ignore them just because of their blunder in the past. I think that’s the message this movie, Euta Sathi delivers.

The movie, ‘Euta Sathi’ is a directorial debut of media person Laxman Subedi, and there were lots of signs that he is still an amateur in movie direction. It was an average script but was not taken very well. There were few funny moments, and good jokes but that’s not enough to make a better movie. The movie looked unpolished and tacky. I think John Tamang had a very hard time opening his mouth or maybe he has too small mouth. And, it’s difficult to laugh when a serious person cracks a joke seriously and without making any expressions. He looked too nervous in front of camera. He is a disaster wherever he goes. His dancing, fighting and dialogues we all poor. Clearly, they lacked good rehearsals and trainings. It’s difficult to give best even for Shahrukh Khan without hard work and dedication. Lot of new artists, lots of problems. The movie was based on a dance competition, but I couldn’t see any dance moves that I can say well about. Salon Basnet can do action and few dance moves, but he is below par on showing expressions and acting. Shovit Basnet can get him few more movies, but if he doesn’t work hard and improve his performances in his next movies, his acting career will soon be over. You cannot look back to your father every time. Someday, he’ll have to stand in his own feet.

Plot:

A girl (Rista Basnet) falls in love with a rich guy (John Tamang), but with the help of his friend finds out that he is in love with another girl. So she breaks up with John. Now that she is alone and has to go to college by walking, she is insulted in the class by her classmates with their mean words. Then comes a dance competition, and the principle announces their childhood friend (Salon Basnet) as their new dance teacher. As the story progresses, Salon falls in love with Rista which creates disturbance in his friendship with other classmates. He convinces everyone, including his family that she is not the wrong girl and finally, their college wins the dance competition. But finally, John returns and Rista’s roommate explains that he is not wrong. So, Salon asks her to return back to John as he is her first love.

Watch or not?

There are few funny moments that may make this movie not so boring in the first half, but its still not a watchable movie.
