The movie is a very vibrant story about college life and highlights the power of friendship among youngsters during and after college life. All cast gave an excellent performance. Saugat Malla and Gaurav Pahari carry the movie; Menuka Pradhan, Sanjog Koirala and Prakriti Shrestha are perfect.
Hot & entertaining in the movie:
Excellent jokes and funny actions by Gaurav Pahari and splendid dialogues and actions of Menuka Pradhan

What I didn’t like about the movie
1. At one point Naren’s thought has been unnecessarily extended.
2. Story lacks twists and turns, Antagonist (Raunak) easily pulls off.

What I liked about the movie
All the cast are in their excellence

Splendid instances:
1. Friendship ko matlab harmro lagi yeuta UTSAV ho. Harpal hardin khulera bachau Jhumera bachau yo hamro mantra ho
2. Jimba: Tero paisa ma bikne manche jasto lagyo?
3. Kaji: Purano Bikram Tyampo vaiskyo tyo ta…
4. Nisha: KT haru sanga kura garnalai ni paila chocolate bata start gara…

Finally leaving you with this excellent song from UTSAV enjoy…

Nai nabhannu la 2, a cute romance between two kids /nai-nabhannu-la-2-a-cute-romance-between-2-kids/ /nai-nabhannu-la-2-a-cute-romance-between-2-kids/#comments Sat, 12 Apr 2014 07:28:12 +0000 /?p=108

Genre : Love Story, Romance
Release Date : 11 Apr 2014
Length : 2 Hrs 10 Min
Director : Bikash Acharya
Cast :  Anuvab Regmi, Sugyani bhattarai,  Suraj Singh Thakuri, Priyanka Karki, Jiwan Luitel,

Life is so unpredictable. Things happen suddenly, unexpectedly. We want to feel we are in control of our own existence. In some ways we are, in some ways we’re not. We are ruled by the forces of chance and coincidence. ‘Nai Na bhannu La 2’ is a beautiful movie, with beautiful story, related to unpredictable life, full of emotions, affection, love and dreams, a cute romance between a boy and a girl of grade three, presented with perfection, and the heart touching, melodious songs is unforgettable. This is a movie that’s going to make you laugh, cry and steal your heart.

Everyone dreams of achieving something, but not everyone gets enough luck to fulfill their dream. Director Bikash Acharya has done wonderful job in presenting an innocent love story of two kids, a seven year old school boy Shishir (Anuvab Regmi) and Ritu (Sugyani bhattarai) where Shishir has a dream to become a legendary singer/musician Narayan Gopal. Both the child actors were marvelous have taken their roles quite well. I can’t imagine more than this from kids like them. Bikram (Suraj Singh Thakuri), a well known heart doctor is the father of Shishir and Kusum (Priyanka Karki) is the mother of Shishir. Both of them were very good in delivering emotions. Suraj Singh has all the charm he needs to be a superstar but he needs to push more and more passion will be required. He was good in the movie, but it could have been even better from him. Priyanka in the role of mom was amazing. She delivered all the emotions needed for the movie, and I’d say, that’s world class act from her.

The movie starts from Kathmandu airport, where a teenage girl takes a taxi. She then goes inside a house of Bikram and Kusum. After the few conversations, the story goes back to a decad, where the innocent love story between Shishir and Ritu starts. Shishir has a dream to become a legendary singer/musician Narayan Gopal. He devotes his time to music. His father Bikram and mother Kusum have been encouraging and persuading him to get his goal. One day Bikram meets Suresh Thapa (Saroj Khanal), a well-known musician/singer. He introduces him to Shishir and requests him to teach music. Where Suresh, refuses to teach the kid music to protect him from the shadow of his own tragic past, the strong determination of the kid make him change his mind which lead his life towards unpredicted consequences.

Will the boy reaches its goal? What happens to Ritu? For that answer, you need to watch the movie yourself. I don’t want to make spoiler of the movie.

Mokshya, a musical journey – movie review /moskshya-movie-review/ /moskshya-movie-review/#comments Tue, 11 Feb 2014 16:56:21 +0000 /?p=42

A fine script, fabulous music, outstanding performance by artists, overall, Mokshya is marvelous and a must watch movie. Starring Kosis Chhetri and Benisha Hamal, the movie is about the life of music band artist with a mixture of humor and sadness.

Director Prabin Shrestha has done terrific job in showing the relationship between friends and the relationship between parents and their teenage son with perfection. Everything was going perfect but I felt the movie ended either too early or too late, making it poor ending. I felt that the director could have worked a little more on the finishing part to make it flawless.

While lots of Nepali movie lacked the perfection in their acting, Mokshya had all their characters performing well and they all must be applauded for their splendid performance. Basanta Bhatta in angry dad’s role was in fine form as his act looked so real and flawless. Although being a debut movie, Koshish has done a flawless performance and has done justice to the character he is playing. All four band members – Koshish Chhetri, Bikram Singh, Deepesh Bhandari and Manish Godar have done very good job in playing their roles.

The movie is made on a story of four youths who wants to build a career in music. They fight their parents and argue about being different. After the first and successful concert of Mokshya band, the lead character met with an accident and had to live his life on wheelchair. The movie is about the hardships the character goes through in his life. The accident affected the friendship between the four youth as they started living their own lives. It also affects the relationship with his girlfriend, Benisha and led them to choose different life.

The movie is made on a real life story of its own director, Prabin Shrestha. The director had gone through most of the incidents of the movie and he has been successful in presenting he experienced. Every scene seems real and true.

Short Movie of Mokshya:
