Summary:

‘Himmatwali’ is about a wanted man, Satya Gautam (Sudarshan Gautam) who has lost both his hands while abroad. Here is movie review.

Cast: Rekha Thapa, Sudarshan Gautam, Abhaya Chand, Puskar Bhatta.
Directed By: Rekha Thapa

If you don’t have your hands, but you consider doing something and taking actions for the welfare of society and community, then you’re definitely not disabled. If some people think you’re disabled, they are the ones that are mentally disabled. There are lots of people around us, who have everything but don’t know how to use it well, then that’s disability. This is a lovely message you can take from this movie.

Rekha Thapa is one of the most talented actresses of Nepal and she has been dominating Nepali film industry for quite a few years now. Himmatwali is yet another movie of Rekha Thapa as lead role and this is also her directional debut. We’ve seen her showing great performances on lots of her previous movies but this time she was not so good. She seems to exaggerate plenty of time. She had a massive opening but fades away as the movie proceeds. While on the other hand, Sudarshan Gautam has taken his part brilliantly. I loved how he smoked with his legs and how he used them to write letters and everything else he did with his legs. That was really impressive and my salute to him for the things he had done.

The movie ‘Himmatwali’ is about a wanted man, Satya Gautam (Sudarshan Gautam) who has lost both his hands while abroad. He then dedicates rest of his life to do something helpful for the country. Rekha on the other hand is a brave girl who can beat off few bad guys alone and with some style J). The movie takes some twists and turns and lots of dramas in the end. To know more, do watch this movie and I would not like to open the entire story here, otherwise Himmatwali might kick my ass.

Watch or Not?

There is very little to take from this movie and I would suggest saving your money. But if you are Rekha’s fan, then please go and watch this movie. I think this movie was only targeted to her fans.
