Teenage is the most critical part of our life. Good habits formed at teenage make all the difference. Being a teenager is an amazing time and also a hard time. It’s when you make your best friends. I have friends who will never leave my heart and I still talk to. You get the best and the worst as a teen. You have the best friendships as well as worst heartbreaks.
“Punte Parade” is a story about a boy, a Punte for his mother, and ‘Hari Lathhak’, ‘Mandha Buddhi’ for his father, a boy who has just reached his teenage. As most teenagers, he wants to get noticed, loved and be famous, but never gets anything or at least he thinks so. It’s a very simple and not so convincing story about the teenage boy, but the director, Subash Koirala must be applauded for his effort in making best out of it.
After successful movies like Apabad and Awaran, Subash Koirala has once again proved that he’s a better director of Nepal. He has taken a very simple story, but presented it with perfection. Samyam Puri, who was well known after his movie Saayad, has once again shown that is is a good actor. His expressions were clear and made the audience laugh and cry whenever he needs to, however sometimes it looked like he overacted. But overall, I really loved his performances. Also Anjila Dahal with Nilu Doma was very good at their roles and all there’s nothing ill to say about any other characters.
Punte Parade is a perfect family movie and yes, it’s a watchable movie. Although it doesn’t have very good script, it has delivered a very good message to teenagers who do lots of mistakes in their euphoria, by misunderstanding their relationship.
